Ft. Lauderdale Restaurant Recs
DH and I will be celebrating our 5th anny in Ft. Lauderdale before heading off on a cruise. Can you recommend a great place for dinner on a Friday night? We're staying at the Westin Beach Resort so nearby or not too far of a cab ride would be great (we won't have a car). We also need somewhere for breakfast the next morning as well before we head to the port. Thanks for any help you can provide!

Are you looking for a nice dinner or something casual? If you're looking for something casual, there's a place called Oasis Cafe which is also on Ocean Drive, a little bit farther south by the Bahia Mar resort. If you're looking for something nice I would recommend Steak 954, at the W (also on the beach). All of the food is fantastic, but obviously the steak is the best part. Not too sure about breakfast in the area, sorry. What cruise are you doing? DH and I have been on a few.
Oasis of the Seas to St. Thomas, St. Maarten and Nassau. It will be our 4th cruise.
Probably something on the nicer side but not something that is going to cost an arm and a leg.
Any opinions on Mai Kai (mentioned on the Westin website) or Casablanca Cafe (highly rated on TripAdvisor). They both seem to be nearby as well. I'll definitely look up Steak 954. Thanks!
Yay! You're going to LOVE it. I work for Royal Caribbean, so of course I'm a fan.
Mai Kai is actually where my husband took me for our first date. It's not too far from the beach by cab and it's a lot of fun. Don't know Casablanca, sorry. Mai Kai and Steak 954 are both good for a nice dinner, but now that I know you're going on Oasis, I say go to Mai Kai and eat at Chops onboard.
