BR: Introducing Kailani Grace.....I'm a Mommy

Re: BR: Introducing Kailani Grace.....I'm a Mommy

  • Congratulations! Kailani Grace is the most beautiful name! She is almost the exact same size as my daughter when she was born (a couple of ounces different). I think the pressure for women to breastfeed is too much. There were plenty of women, for many generations, who did not. Those babies turned out fine. None of my friends were BF. Many are high IQ and healthy. I BFed my little angel and she isn't mensa-smart and doesn't have super-immunity. My boobies show more impact from BF than her brain. Be happy that you'll still have pretty boobies.

  • I remember the day you announced your pregnancy and your DD is finally here! Time flies! I'm so excited for you.

As for breastfeeding, it's hard work, try not to get down on yourself about the whole thing. Do what's best for YOU and YOUR family! Good luck at the LC. They have helped me so much with everything, from latching, to keeping latched, to biting, to now re-establishing supply after the mc.

I love her name! Kailani is Bella's middle name :)

  • Congratulations!  I also LOVE her name!  I pary all will work out re: BFing.  It sounds like the other experienced girls gave your excellent advice and encouragement.
