Going to Mexico..Question

I know some of you (I think) went to Mexico for your honeymoon so I have this question. I was reading on the travel board about Hep A and weather or not if you should get the short or not when visiting Mexico. I am getting mixed reviews on this issue and I  am kind of freaked out a little about it since we are leaving next week to Mexico. But for those who went to Mexico for their honeymoon or just for vacation, did you get the shot?

No, and we went during the swine flu freak out too.  We didn't get any shots, and we're good.

They have maps of where various illness outbreaks are throughout Mexico, so maybe google that?

No, we didn't. No one ever mentioned it to us and even if they did....I still wouldn't get it. I don't like vaccines.........

We didn't get vaccinated either.

My Aunt is at thier condo in Cabo right now- they go every other month for a week- and they have never gotten vaccinated.  You'll be fine!

Thanks ladies. I feel a bit better. We didnt get anything for London either and it was also recommended and we are all fine.

I'm going in like 3 wks & we're not getting any.  Didn't do any for the Dominican either.  People freak out way too quickly & make a big deal out of nothing, if you ask me.  You just have to be careful about where you are & what you're putting into your body.  But if you've got common sense (& I know you do), I'm sure you'll be fine!   Where are you going in Mexico??

Haha yeah, we do have common sense but I guess the ones who freak out a lot dont.

We are going to Mazatlan for a couple of days. I cant wait, never been to Mexico and this is my second international trip.

Oh that sounds nice.  I do remember you asking about that now.  I can't wait to hear about it.  We're going to Riviera Maya & I've never been to Mexico either.  I'm so excited!!
