Growing raspberries & strawberries??
I'm new at gardening & I have a friend who is giving me some strawberry & raspberry plants. I'm really excited but nervous about where to put them & how to grow them. Anyone have any experience with these fruits? I've heard that they are easy to grow but I would like some tips. Any advice will be great. Thanks!

I second that! Both raspberries and strawberries (certain kinds) spread like crazy that's why people always have some to give away. My MIL's is constantly killing off raspberry and strawberry plants because they try to take over her 1/2 acre garden. I'd recommend keeping them contained somehow. A lady at my garden club bought some deep inexpensive plastic containers and buried them in the ground leaving a few inches above ground for her raspberries and strawberries. She can enjoy them but they aren't spreading all over I plan to do the same thing someday.
