Glad to hear the m/s is subsiding for you.  I still have a touch of it here and there, but nothing major.  My main symtom is still being dead tired by the end of the day.

I go next week for my 1st doctors visit and they said we might be able to hear the heartbeat.  Can't wait...it will be the first real confirmation that everything is OK/normal in there.  My blood pressue was very high when I went for the nurse's visit, so they want to keep an extra eye on that.  So I have to go for an EKG next week as a precaution.  My sugar came back slightly high in the blood that they took, so I have to go for a pre-gestational diabdies screen next week too.  Fun times!  I did buy a home blood pressure monitor so I can keep an eye on things and so far it's been normal.  I think doctor's just stress me out :~).

I went out to Motherhood yesterday and bought some maternaty jeans.  My regualr jeans still fit, but they were getting a bit snug.  (I just have bloat, but regular jeans were starting to really pinch me by the end of the day).  I figured I would need maternaty ones sooner or later, so why not right now.  I'm actually wearing them today.  They are so nice and comfy!  I bought a dress for work that I can grow into too.  The only other thing a need is some bigger tops.  I can still fit into most of my skirts/work clothes.  The last time I went shopping I thought ahead and bought some stuff that already had elastic waists, I figured I can get a little more time out of them this way.

Hope all is well with you!  Enjoy the long weekend!

Re: ~~*MrsA2Be**~~

  • Sorry - I was offline most of the weekend.  Motherhood is GREAT - I got a bunch of shirts there on clearance for $6.99 and $9.99 that I'll be able to wear straight through.  And their work pants are super-comfy!

    Here's my update:

I started spotting on late Thursday and kind of went into a hole by myself - I was terrified to lose this baby.  I finally went to the ER yesterday (DH couldn't take it anymore - I was literally just crying and sitting or lying in the house on the most beautiful weekend).  He figured it was better to know what was going on than to be freaking out.  How level-headed of him.  :)

Everything is ok.  They did an internal, there is bleeding in my cervix, but nothing they want me to be concerned with.  I see one of the midwives at my doctor's office on Thursday - so I am looking forward to that for more reassurance.

We were there for 6 hours, between the waiting, the BW, the internal and the U/S.  We missed our friend's BBQ - so Jude got us cheeseburgers at the cafeteria.  They were actually good!

I hope that the pre-GD screen comes out A-OK - and I am with you about my BP rising at the doctor's office - LOL!

I look forward to hearing how everything goes at your appointment this week!
