Okay, here's the deal...
My BFF is flying in from Texas on Tuesday. Her bachelorette party is next weekend on Saturday & Sunday. Her sister is flying in from Washington, another friend flying from NorCal, another friend flying from Portland...needless to say, people are traveling to get to this event.
On the invite, we put the schedule of events for Saturday, which included a homecooked dinner + drinks at one of the other bridesmaid's house as well as a Passion Party. (For those of you who don't know what a Passion Party is, it's like a Tupperware or Pampered Chef Party but with "adult toys and gifts.") So the bride AND all the guests know this is planned and are SUPER excited.
Well, I contacted the consultant who was going to lead the party about six weeks ago. She told me her requirements for bachelorette parties (deposit, time limits, etc.). She did seem a little put off by how far away the bridesmaid's house was from her, but she said she had the date down. She also said she would be sending me some materials (catalogues, etc.) in the mail ahead of time and would call me one-two weeks before to confirm everything.
Tomorrow will be one week until the party. I have received no catalogues or order forms in the mail. I tried calling her Wednesday, but have gotten no response. I'm starting to panic.
I was going to wait to see if I heard from her by tomorrow at, like, X time (help me figure out X) before trying to go for Plan B. But I don't know what Plan B should be...
Help please!
Re: WWYD? (Long)
Are there any other passion party reps that you could contact? That's pretty annoying that she is being such a turd...makes me wonder what she would be like if you had to order product.
If all else fails get your H to dress in Drag and host the party!
Maybe a male stripper for plan B? I saw one at a bachlorette party once and he didn't get naked, he just got down to a speedo and danced around. It was more funny and entertaining than risque
How much of a deposit did you give her?
I'd call/email/etc. but if you still don't hear in 24 hours, try calling the company. Explain the situation and see if they can refer you to any other reps in the area.
I definitely start shopping around for other reps. People want your business! Is she doing so well she can afford to turn her back on you? I'm sure the company would be upset about this. I would call her again, today, and tell her everything you just told us AND (if you have to leave a message) if you don't hear from her by Sunday you are going to contact someone else and you demand your deposit back.
They must have a website where you can schedule with someone else.
Then I would write a really angry letter in my head to the company she came from. I may or may not send it.
