Roc Ladies- Where do you buy your flowers?

I'm trying to see where we will get the best deals on perennial flower plants for containers outside. Any suggestions?

TIA

Re: Roc Ladies- Where do you buy your flowers?

  • I've found perennials on Craigslist, otherwise I usually buy flowers at Lowes (probably cheapest place) and Gro-Moore.
  • Sometimes if the flowers look good at Wal-Mart, otherwise we buy them at Lowes.

I like Lowes and Wal Mart. For some more variety I like Grossmans Nursery.

  • Thanks! I never thought to look on Craigslist. I was always under the impression Lowes and Home Depot were expensive but I guess I'm wrong! Big Smile

  • We usually go to Gro-Moore farms, and you can also find great deals at the Garden Factory.

I buy all my flowers at the Public Market- you can get great deals and haggle a little plus with so many farmers in one place there is an amazing variety.

  • I love Garden Factory in Gates. And the Public Market is great too, but go super early on Saturdays (like, before 8am) to get the best deals and a parking spot.
  • I go to the Garden Factory, Sara's in Brockport, or Van Putte in Greece. I also buy trees from Cobblecreek Farm on Ridge Road in Ogden. Personally, I think locally grown plants and tree look way more healthy than anything the chain stores carry. (Plus, I would rather support local)
