moving to OH

My husband's job is bringing us to Ohio in the fall. We basically have a choice between Clyde, OH (50 minutes from Toledo) or Marion, OH (60-70 minutes from Columbus). Awesome, I know :(

I am a dietitian and would need to look in nursing homes, hospitals, gyms, etc. for work. So being close to a big city is ideal for me, and so I'm pushing for Marion, OH to be closer to Columbus. HOWEVER, I have no idea what's north of Columbus where we could live to be about 1/2 way from each of our jobs. It looks like there's a town of Delaware about 1/2 way...but I wasn't sure if anyone had any suggestions.

We will definitely buy a house and want new, turn-key ready home. Other than that, some sort of "town" would be nice. Any ideas on locations north of Columbus we should look into?

Thanks!

Re: moving to OH

  • Hi, I was born and raised here in Columbus, Ohio. Are you more of a city girl or a country girl? I live near the downtown area and there are always events happening right around this time of year.
  • About 20 minutes west of Delaware is Marysville...really nice town, and only about 20 minutes north of Dublin (a suburb of Columbus)!
  • I live in Delaware ohio.  It is a wonderful little town with shops, new and old homes for sale and a great hospital in town that I work at.  A big area just 20 minutes sothis a place called Polaris.  It is a big shoping area with food, mall, movies, and entertainment.  Bigger hospitals are no more then 45 minutes to an hour drive from Delaware into Columbus.  If you would like more information let me know.
  • Yes, Delaware is a great little town. I grew up in Worthington, but my parents live right around the corner from Polaris Mall which is considered Lewis Center. It is a very popular area which is close to I-71, Rt 23, and 270. I don't know that much about Marysville, but I do know it has grown quite a bit in recent years. If I were you guys, I would stay away from living in Marion (no offense to anyone) but it is a kinda crappy town. I know one of the other ladies mentioned Dublin, and it is very nice, too. There are parts of Dublin that are closer to the Marysville area and some which are closer to Columbus, if this makes sense. Dublin is another area that has expanded in recent years. Good luck with your search
