Where is the best pizza in Chicago?
I know Chicago is known for the thick crust but where to go if you prefer more of the thin crust?
Re: Where is the best pizza in Chicago?
Great Lake in Andersonville was voted the best pizza by GQ. The pizza is the best I have had in Chicago, if not anywhere. This is thin crust at its finest. However, expect really long waits and a tiny venue. Better shot at being served if it is warm out with outdoor seating.
Other places I like for thin crust are La Madia, Quartino, Piece, and Santullos.
(I am originally from NY and prefer thin crust)

Vito and Nicks! Their claim to fame is the cracker thin crust...New Yorkers obviously know nothing about pizza! Just kidding!!!
Piece is the best if you're going to hang out there. The pies are not always round, so the slices are sometimes oddly shaped, but they taste great. I'd say the crust is in between the hand-tossed and cracker style. Plus they make their own beer, and they serve Strongbow cider (which is my favorite and kind of hard to find)
My Pi (it's actually the pi symbol, like... math) makes excellent cracker thin crust and deep dish
Santullo's thick crust is more like NY style - it's even cut into huge slices you can fold over.
