Subsittue for Diet pop?

Hi everyone! I'm trying to kick my Diet Pepsi habit, and have been doing pretty well, but seem to be in a slump. It's not the caffeine that I like, but the carbination. I want to avoid anything with asperteme (sp?), and was wondering if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

  • Club soda. I like it with just a little lemonade in it, but if you don't want the sugar you could leave that out.

I always find iced tea very refreshing, though it is not carbonated.

  • How much lemonade do you use? What kind of club soda do you buy? I'm thinking maybe I could mix it with green tea?

  • I like la croix water, too.

  • Soda water and a little bit of juice or juice concentrate or water with lemon juice are pretty refreshing for me.

  • Maybe like 2 oz of lemonade to 6-8 oz of club soda. I used to drink it a lot when I was working in a restaurant, we had a soda gun and that was how I avoided drinking the high calorie stuff. I don't think brands of club soda matter much, it's just carbonated water.

  • There is also flavored, unsweetened seltzer available.  I don't enjoy it, but many of my coworkers do!

  • I also used to drink diet soda but switched just to sparkling water (mineral or plain).  It definitely quenches my thirst for something carbonated and I can get it at restaurants too.

  • Steaz tea, it is organic carbonated green tea that is flavored like soda! There are zero calorie versions.
  • my DH drinks flavored seltzer water. We have a local brand that is not too expensive. No calories, no sugar, no additives.
  • I drink a lot of water with lime juice.  For a treat, I do club soda with lime juice.  I can hardly stand lemonade or limeade now, since I've gotten so used to having those flavors without sugar!  I like to use the double strength lime juice that is typically sold in the mixed drinks section because it comes in a bigger bottle and I don't need to use as much in each glass.
