Oleander bugs help!

I really need help with my Oleander.  I noticed yesterday that about half of the plant is covered in what looks like scale?  This picture I found on google looks like it:

I don't know what to do, it's a beautiful plant and I don't want it to die.  The first thing I can think of is cut off the infected leaves.  After that I don't know.  Is there any homemade remedy or a specific bug spray I can buy that might help?  Right now it's in a room away from the other plants, I don't want it to get to the others.

  Any ideas?  Please help!
