Can't decide... what would you do?

As you may remember, I'm teaching swing this summer.  I called a ballroom dance studio last week to see if they had any classes just so I could get a little refresher (I feel ok without it... it's just a dumb security thing).  Apparently they do customized courses with private and group classes so they signed me up for a free private lesson and consultation to see where I would like to go with lessons, etc...

My time is so limited right now that I doubt I'll be able to sign up for much, especially if they're not offering alot of swing right now because as much as I'd like to work on other styles, it's just not a priority right now.

So I'm torn... I hate to take someone's time for a free lesson when I'm not even sure it's feasible to stay at the studio... what would you do?

  • But that's what the whole consultation is all about.  They fully realize that not everyone who comes in for the consult and free lesson will end up staying with the studio.

I think you should take them up on it.  In fact, you may find that after the free lesson that you're not as "out of swing" as you thought (...haha...bad joke....).

    ~haha~  Cute.

You're right... if I had a studio that worked that way I wouldn't expect everyone who came to stay.
