Hey Erica!

I just saw that you started your masters...where are you going?  I will FINALLY be done with mine in December but have applied to UMKC for their online NP program.  You would think I would be done after spending the last 4 1/2 yrs in the masters program!

What kind of sewing/embroidery machine did you buy?  I have been wanting one for awhile and have been looking at the Bother ones.  I've been wanting to learn how to sew but I would also like to be able to embroidery things as gifts.

As much as I know how much the nausea stinks...it's a good thing.  I was so nausea with Clare that it wasn't even funny.  Unfortunately it lasted 16 weeks!!  I was so happy it was gone but then I worried when it was gone...go figure. :)  Good luck...I learned to live with peppermints and saltines.

  • Hi Becca!

I'm going through Mizzou's online program.  It has started off being a bit of a pain, but I think that is because I'm not used to being in school AND I'm taking the dumb classes first (theory and role) which are just boring.

My embroidery machine is a Babylock Ellegante.  I was going to buy a cheaper one to see if I really enjoyed it, but my H convinced me to go all the way and get the one I really wanted.  I've heard really good things about all of the Babylocks - for $1000 you can get a good computerized machine, add $500 to that and you get one with a USB port.  The more money you spend (as a rule) the bigger the embroidery field and more options the machine has.  I bought mine online, but the big Jackman's on Lindbergh is a great resource.

I'm so tired of the morning sickness, and every time I think I'm figuring out how to manage it, it takes a turn and does something weird.  Like a few days ago I started having it really bad right when I wake up.  I used to get a reprieve for an hour, then it was really good in the evening - now that's gone too.  I know it just means my beta is continuing to rise and I know that is what I want.  It just gets frustrating :)  But I keep smiling about it.  I would love to know why some people are so sensitive to it and others don't have a problem.  My friend with twins (2 girls!) had a bit of nausea but nothing else.  But everyone else I know who has had girls was sick like me.  Crazy.

So are you going to have your WHNP and FNP?  Or does UMKC have a CNM program?  Good luck with that!
