I planted a new batch of 15 strawberry plants this year. They are popping out berries left and right, which is great for first year plants, but all the berries are oddly shaped. I call them my little mutants
Any ideas on why they are lumpy little balls? At least they taste fantastic!
Re: Mutant strawberries?
The lumpy strawberries are self-pollinated, not bee pollinated.
This is why we need bees--so we don't get ugly strawberries!
