The weather's nice here but I had a 2-inch diameter cookie an hour ago, and now I feel sluggish.  At least it was good while I was eating it.

I spent my morning talking to 12-15 years olds about the benefits of a college education. That cured any thoughts I had of having children anytime soon! But now, back to bored

That's my last resort -- she went together with my brother and got us an excursion for our HM which I thought was really thoughtful of them.  For their wedding, my brother built them the arch/pergola for their ceremony so he's done and they are going on an adventure-trip deal for their HM in Costa Rica so they dont need the excursions.  I was going to book them a couples massage but its $350 -- way more than I planned on spending.  I was shooting for soemwhere around $150.  There is really nothing left on her registry except some kitchen stuff which I know she could care less about.  Not sure what I am going to do...

I am trying to decided what to get a friend for her wedding, too. She didn't come to my shower or the wedding. But, she about had a heart attack when I told her I was going to be in Savannah the weekend of her shower. I still plan on going to her wedding, but J doesn't want to get her very much. He is pisssed that she didn't come to the wedding or get us anything, but I am over it. But, I have just recently realized how materialistic she really is. . . I don't know what to get her.

They are great!  I was a little sketched out to get to involved at first, because I thought it would primarily revolve around stupid questions like "what camera should I buy?" but there are actually a lot of great photogs over there that generate a lot of good discussion.

Luckily, there are no CM discussions over there either...another fear of mine when venturing to The Bump.

Yeah I think that is why I avoided it for so long.  Now there are quite a few pro photogs on there (although The Bump doesn't allow you to talk about business, so you have to refer to it as being a "Biologist" and doing experiments...whatever).

99% of us hate selective coloring, so those people that come on to discuss selective coloring get flamed these days.  You still have 1-2 hold outs, but for the most part everyone agrees it is ridiculous and tacky.

You still get the people that come on, too, and ask "what DSLR should I get?" but they've luckily added a sticky at the top of the forum with FAQs that can easily be pointed to in order to get rid of those people too!

Ha, "biologist"! I never remember to wander over there, probably because it's listed under the Bump boards. Which I find stupid - it should be under the Nest boards. ::harrumph::

TOTALLY agree!  The weird thing is...if I click "My Posts" and then go to a post I made on the board, it shows up under The Nest.  So weird.  There are other girls over there without kids too.  It would be much more appropriate on The Nest.  I get freaked out finding myself on The Bump so often.
