Monitor recs? and rambling

So now that Scarlett has her own room, it's so far away!  If the master is Bedroom 1, she's in Bedroom 4 at the other end of the hallway.

I barely heard her crying this morning.  I'm used to her being in the room with us.  Time to get a monitor!  Which do you like?  I think we just need a simple sound-only one.

And now I digress.

I have been so thrifty up until we bought the house.  Yesterday, I spent $500!  Clothes and stuff for the house and just whatever.  Target had some nice things on clearance.  I feel a little guilty after my spree.

And this morning, I wore my new workout clothes and walked from the train to my office.  It's 1.7 miles... uphill.  Good workout.  Changing at the office was not too bad.

  • And more rambling...

We were going to have a 4-day mini vacay for Memorial Day weekend.  Since J is the newbie, he has to work the holiday!  Now it's a 2-day whirlwind weekend trip.  I'm bummed.

  • We have the Graco iVibe and it works great.  I didn't go for a video monitor because they had really small range.  With this one we can take it outside and still get reception.

  • We LOVE our Angelcare Deluxe Movement Monitor, the piece of mind is completely worth the price tag. When you move her to a big girl bed, you can leave the monitor on and it will go off when she gets out of bed to go crazy with the Desitin.

For traveling we have the Sony BabyCall and like that as well.

We have this Sony too, it works great for us. Evan has been sleeping in his room for 4 nights now, and he's been taking every nap there for weeks, and I always hear him right away. It has a voice activated option, so no white noise all the time, it just goes on when he's making noise. That works best to wake me up.

  • We have a summer voice and temp monitor.  Her room changes temps so often during the day it is nice to know how hot it is in there.  It is also voice activated but it picks up everything.  I have no problems with it though.
