This was pretty interesting. Apparently the average woman walks around with $1500 worth of merchandise (including jewelry) on her at any time.

Yes, if you are currently wearing them (or wear them every day), then they are included. And yes, it definitely inflates the number. A lot.

Original poll included all jewelry. I think mine was about $4200, the bulk being in jewelry. It's an estimate, though, because I don't know how much my e-ring cost, but clothing-wise, I'm at about $650. Catch me on the weekend and the clothing number is a ton lower. The $650, though, is why I cannot afford to gain weight. My work wardrobe is expensive, and I cannot afford to replace it any time soon!

My rings are $5,000, my Dooney&Burke purse is $200, and between my clothes and phone other jewelery it adds up. I never thought about it like that before

For what its worth, the only thing that I have on my body that is less than a year old is my wedding band. My shoes, bag, blazer and other jewelry are all closer to 5 years old. I'm semi-neurotic about my stuff because I paid so much for it!

Tomorrow when I'm in the office I'm probably closer to $6500. No, DH didn't actually pay that much for the rings, but they appraised really well.
