GTG

Hey Ladies! I am going to attempt to organize a GTG and hopefully it will be a success. I've never really tried organizing anything on this board before but it's worth a shot.

I'm thinking we could meet for dinner on a weeknight or lunch on a weekend. Anyone interested? What nights/days work best for everyone? I'd like to do something on the west side of Lansing (Lansing Mall area) but not sure where everyone else is located at.

So...who's in?? :)

Re: GTG

  • Ohh me! West side works best for me too.
  • I am definitely in!!! It's hard for me to say when I'm available because track season is just finishing. Although, most Saturday nights are just fine. I'm also good most week days, but it just depends on what days that week Matt has a meet. He has no more meet an Mondays or Tuesdays.

I like the idea of the West side a lot! My vote would be for Ukai (they have more than just sushi and they have great food!), Logan's, Red Robin... I'm open to going anywhere in the Lansing area. Clara's and Sansu are both really fun. They have completely different atmospheres and food, but both fun.

P.S.- I'm sorry if this doesn't make too much sense because I just got done with a couple Mike's.... haha  :-P

  • Ellen--I say we do one with kids (at the park or something) and one without at a restaurant. Sound good?

I don't really care where we go as long as they serve drinks or at the very least good food :)

Do you ladies prefer a weeknight dinner or sometime on the weekend? I could do most anytime with enough notice.

  • Personally, I'd prefer a Saturday... but really I'm good with a week night, too. I just want to get out!!!!
  • Ukai=best idea EVER!

I work every other weekend so I could do a Saturday as long as it is one I am not working. I work 3 twelve hour shifts so I have pretty good availability since I have 4 days off.

  • I am in. Doesnt really matter where or when.

  • Should we do Ukai on a Saturday? Don't they have one on the west side? Not sure how busy it would be on a Saturday but maybe we could meet for lunch? Whats everyones availability like? Like I said before, I'm pretty flexible but I know most of us have kids and/or work schedules to work around.
  • The Ukai on the west side is behind Bennigan's. I'm up for lunch on a Saturday. I won't be able to make the 5th or the 19th though unless we did a dinner.
  • If on the west side, during the week works best for me since I work on the west side.  Weekends are too hectic!

  • Rats!  I just did a reply and my wrist hit a button and wiped it alll out....grrr!

Anyway, DH often works on saturdays so a weekend would be better for a kids day.  Weeknights will be fine after this week.....this is his busy season filing tax appeals.

BTW, we should meet up for lunch during be a tourist in your own town on June 5th (Leesa, I see that is not a good day, sorry)?!

  • A weekday I wouldn't be able to make it - unless it was early enough or the weekends are fine.

We could always have a GTG at an Ice Cream Place.  :-)
