Moving to SD

Hello ladies!

It looks like my husband will possibly be receiving a job offer this week or next in San Diego.  I am really excited about moving, but I am petrified about finding a job.  Does anyone have any recommendations on companies to look at?  I have been scouring the websites.  I am currently a Marketing Analyst, but I am looking for Analyst, Marketing Coord, Buyer/Planner, and Recruiter positions.

Thanks!

    Congrats!

Where are you moving from? We moved here from NJ and I had been working in NYC. It's a completely different world. Small companies, people stay in their jobs for a long time, very diff from NYC. I have had a hard time adjusting. I went from a company of 3,000 to an office of 10.

The job market is definitely tougher, in my experience. I'd just try craigslist, indeed.com, monster, the regulars. Also check out companies you see when you are here, go on their website & try that way. Maybe you will have better luck with a recruiter than I did. I was unemployed a few months when we first moved, but eventually found something.

    Good luck!!!

  • Me too! Only I am the one that was relocated, I know for sure that Sony Electronics has several job opennings. Specifically, Marketing has an openning (thats my department) Go to sonyjobs.com The building is located in Rancho Bernardo.  I am not relocating until mid july from NYC. Slightly nervous about the transition but know I will love living in SD. Best of Luck!
