Lets vent...

So my DH has a crappy car, he broke down on his way home from work on Monday.  He used two vacation days this week to try and fix it.  He spent just under $400 on random car parts, and it still won't start (just last week he spent $300 something on new tires).  And now he tells me it needs a whole new engine, which means another $1000 AT LEAST. 

End rant.  Your turn.

Ugg car issues.  Cars suck.

DH keeps putting off getting an oil leak checked on his car.  He knows that there are probably going to be quite a few problems with it and is scared to find out to what extent the damage will be.  His reasoning is that it will probably cost more than the car is worth to fix everything, so he should just wait until it dies and then we'll buy my new car and he'll take over my current vehicle. 

This is the most ridiculous logic ever.  It might end up being cheap to just fix the oil leak.  I keep telling him we don't HAVE to fix everything, just the immediate problems.  Sometimes he's uber frustrating.  He just wants a new car, I know that's his problem.

mine vent is work related...

i'm scheduled to take a one week paid vacation the week of memorial day. i have direct deposit and never open my paystub...i just stuff them in my drawer...bad i know. well, today i decided to just open it and check my pto balance. i've been working here 2.5 years and don't use a ton of my pto. i was thinking i would have around 100 hours or so.....no ONLY 11.7 HOURS!!! wtf! i never use it...last vacation i took was in 2008 and only like 3 days. i emailed payroll and i'm waiting to hear back. ::fingers crossed, hopefully this is a mistake::

Yes, car problems suck and my DH has an old raggety car too. We need to register it (we've been here a year) and it won't pass emissions and I'm not willing to put a ton of money into it! UGH! Sorry you're having issues too!

My vent.........hmm, the only one I can think of is about this stupid lady at work. I'm doing something new and this biiiiatch keeps writing back and cc'ing the girl who's training me and the manager. TOTALLY unnecessary. I'm doing what I'm supposed to be...SHE'S not!! UGh, I just want to freaking punch her! LOL

1) DH needs a new car- I hate car shopping.

2) Ugh, Maricopa county taking forever to get back background checks.  Yes...that one.

Car issues do suck! I'm sorry!

Mine is money and dentist related. I had to get a root canal and a crown done at the dentist last week and had to put $840 down and have to pay off another $500 or so over the next 4 months. So now that we paid for that last week we have NO money until DH gets paid on Wednesday (I don't work, I stay at home and go to school). We don't have anything we really need to buy but I just hate knowing our bank account is practically at $0. Good thing after this paycheck we will be getting all caught up.

I hate when our checking account gets that low, it is so stressful.  We are approaching that now with all these erroneous car expenses

Car issues is a sensitive subject for me. We only have one car, my car, which is actually my dads car *yes I AM spoiled and my daddy pays for my car and insurance*. When we moved here, he had a truck. It was repo'd. Then he was getting rides with his co-worker who lived in the same complex. Then for some stupid reason *his wife is selfish* DH started taking my car everyday and giving the co-worker a ride. The co-worker just moved to Glendale. He and his wife also have just one car. His wife works 2 blocks away from where we live. BUT DH can't get a ride with him, even though he drives to work everyday, because co-workers wife works 7 -5, meaning they'd both be late and leave early from work everyday. He works for his own brother, you'd think he'd get a break right? Especially since they just hired two people to help DH out *one lives in the office, and the other gets there at 6*. But no. Instead I get no car. I finally put my foot down. Apparently not hard enough, I only have my own car two days a week.

Did that even make sense? Sorry! Long rant!

Ha!  Just be glad that your DH doesn't work at a shop that builds $200k + classic cars and is obsessed with his own cars!  We have 5 cars- one is currently being built and all he talks about is paint color, engines and chrome.  All I keep asking is  "how much?!?!".  But, we have seperate bank accounts for hobbies, good thing!

 My vent-- it's 100 degrees today, I have a headache and I'm suposed to go to "drops" for work.  I really don't want to get in and out of the car all afternoon for people to either ignore me or tell me no.  The pool sounds a lot better!

I feel ya ladies on the money or the lack there of.  The months before CJ started his new job i was a constant stress bubble because we were living basically on my income alone and that isn't the greatest in the world before my promtoion... even then it could be better.

I guess my vent is that i work so hard and am constantly going above and beyond and still don't get the credit for it! some other dude that watches movies on his phone and is on az central all day does. What ever...

My vent is that LB is a psycho child.  Seriously, a poster child for the terrible twos.   She pulled toilet paper all over the house, took off her poopy diaper and made a big mess all over the wood floor. There is no keeping her out of anything.  She laughs through the whole thing, she is lucky she's so stinkin' adorable.

I really didn't have anything to vent about besides DH, but I just seen on the news a few turtles covered in oil.
