Anyone ever done a full body detox?
What was your experience? Thinking about trying
this one this weekend. I've read you should try to do it once a year... but this will be my first.
Re: Anyone ever done a full body detox?
No, gross. Your body is not toxic. If it were, you'd be very, very sick.

To clarify I'm not talking about the type where you try to clean out your colon and such... this is just 1 to 3 days of extra water, herbal teas and naturally detoxifying fruits and veggies.
Not sure if that's what you were imagining, but I'm still missing why this is side-eye worthy.
I clicked the link, and agree it's not side-eye worthy. By your post title, I had envisioned one of those colon cleanse things too, which I think are a crock.
It might not help, but I doubt this would hurt you. It's only 3 days. If you're concerned, you could ask your doctor first.
Good point I suppose. I wasn't even really thinking in terms of weight loss...
I have had extra oily skin lately and have generally been feeling tired/unmotivated and I've heard this can help with all of the above. I knew someone who did it (not this exact one, but similar deal) and the results were amazing -- like seriously you could tell just by looking at her. I eat pretty healthy so I don't think that's the bigger issue. I will do some more research before proceeding.
A three day juice fast would make me feel terrible.
And it should. Bodies need fuel.
Look at the Eat Clean Diet if you want to "detox". Eat real food. Skip everything processed. I don't do it, but it seems way more reasonable than pretending not eating is good for your body.
Nope, I have an awesome liver for all my detoxing needs. That detox you posted is certainly better than many I've seen, but its still not healthy and is unnecessary.
Simply increasing your water intake could help with the oily skin you're experiencing. You don't have to give up solid food, I promise.
I don't want to consider how hostile I'd be towards people if I were to walk around for 3 days with a growling stomach and only mint tea to look forward to for a meal. Can you imagine what that does to your blood sugar? Plus, your brain and skin NEED healthy fats. The detox you posted has some nuts, but it doesn't look like there are enough calories to keep you awake and alert.
