Hi! We are having all girls. Two identicals and one fraternal. I will be delivering at Winnie Palmer. Things have been going pretty good. We had some scares at the beginning and now I am on complete bedrest until I deliver. I only leave to go to dr. appts. I have braxton hicks contractions often (mostly at night) so I have to monitor those. Other than that things are great, thanks for asking! :) How are you feeling?

Oh, I'm so glad that things are going good for you!!   How long have you been on bedrest?  Are you able to do much of anything at home, or is the bedrest pretty strict?  Three girls?  Wow.. have you decided on names?  I have a list of about 10 names that we're thinking of.  I didn't think it would be this hard to name her, honestly.  Her latest nickname is "Little Miss So and So"..   Big Smile

I was in triage at Winnie Palmer about a month ago or so and was put on the monitor and had some contractions while I was being monitored.  That was sure weird.  They weren't painful or anything, but I could just feel tightness when it was happening.   Luckily things are going well now though because we're flying to NYC for 3 nights in another week or so.    Are your contractions every single day??

We just did a 3D/4D ultrasound this past weekend and it was amazing to see!  She sure loves to put her hands up by her face!!  So precious!!

  • I was at Winnie Palmer about a month ago too! Twice in one week! Same thing with me, they hooked me up to the monitor and I was having contractions, some I could feel and some I couldn't. They said I had a lot of uterine irritability. As for bedrest, it is strict. I am in bed all day. I can only get up to use the restroom and shower super quick. I can't drive, I only leave the house to go to dr. appts. We are staying with my parents b/c my mom doesn't work so she takes care of me during the day. But, I've been on bedrest since 21 weeks and had to limit my activities and work part time since week 15, so I am use to it by now. We had a tough time with names, we didn't want anything matchy-matchy and I am a teacher so there were many names I couldn't use b/c it reminded me of a student. So we finally agreed on Madelyn, Grace and Isabel.  Did they give you anything for your contractions or tell you to keep track of them or anything? I do have them everyday, usually in the evening. But I am starting to wonder if some of them are just the babies moving from one side to the other or something like that b/c my side will stick out like an alien trying to escape and then get hard. It looks all lopsided and weird. I see my high risk dr. tomorrow so I'll ask him. Have fun on your trip, hope you continue to feel great! :)
  • Sorry to jump in...but the names you picked out for your 3 girls (wow, by the way) are so adorable.  Can't wait to see pics when the little ones arrive!

  • *butting in*  I agree...too cute! :)  Congrats!!! :)
  • Very cute names!!!   SO adorable!!  I love the name Isabel, but I have a niece named Isabella, so I can't use it.  Already taken.  :-)   They call her Bella and she is so adorable!

I wasn't told to keep track of the contractions, so I really haven't been.  I did feel one while I was at work a few days after I had to go to triage at Winnie Palmer, but that's about it.  I wasn't in triage because of the contractions though, I had something else going on that had to be checked.  They did do an ultrasound while I was there and it was so nice to see her again!  They even gave me a couple pictures of her.  Big Smile

That's really nice that your mom can help you out during the day!  I don't know what I'd do if I ended up on bedrest.  Our family is all up in Minnesota.  Your lucky to have some support and extra care like that.  So what do you do in bed all day?  Nest?  Watch TV?  Do you have a book/magazine of those Sudoku puzzles by any chance?

  • I watch tv ( I have my schedule of shows), surf the net, read magazines, eat, take naps. Nothing too exciting. :)  No sudoku books for me, I've never really gotten into that.
