We basically cleaned all day Saturday and had some friends over for pizza/drinks that night.
Sunday was our anniversary. The IL's treated us to a brunch and then we went home to chill. For dinner, we ate Little Village for the first time (OMGah the bread...must replicate that recipe!) then went home, had our top tier of cake (which was really good, btw) and popped open champagne from our reception.
Good weekend indeed!
Re: How was the weekend?
Happy (belated) Anniversary!
Saturday I came back home, got a sack of crawfish on the way and then went to DH's family reunion. It was nice.
Sunday we cleaned the house and yard some then some friends came over and we boiled that sack of crawfish and that's it!
We had a little longer weekend, since DH took Friday off. BIL came over to do electrical work with DH and brought the nieces. So the girls and I played on the Wii while the guys worked. We went to Lake Charles that night to see a friend of DH's for her birthday. I proceeded to be a cheap drunk. Should've known it when I was buzzing after ONE amaretto sour. Thankfully I was just giggly.
Saturday I relaxed while DH played a round of golf. Saturday afternoon went to a crawfish boil and then came back home.
Sunday DH and I slept in (yay!). Did a little work around the yard. He got a lot done outside. He's been really great about the outside stuff.
Next weekend should be interesting. We have our niece and nephew coming in from Colorado (we haven't seen them in 4 yrs).
ugh, not too hot.
sat. was a birthday party, sun. was a birthday party. j&s were hot, cranky, and not feeling good.
Glad you found the Refinery. They have some really cute stuff!
Ours was filled, but the whole reason we moved back home. saturday was our niece, Olive's 3rd birthday. (hence the mad cupcake baking last week) She ran to me half way through the party, I threw her up in the air and caught her into a huge hug, then she planted a kiss on my cheek and said "I love you". I melted, right then and there!
Yesterday was church, then I had brunch with a friend of a friend and we couldn't believe it had taken us so long to connect, we have so much in common. I didn't get home from brunch till 4 and I crashed.
This is legal advice. Circa 2011
