While I am on a rampage about my name....since I changed my last name I figured oh great this will be so much easier 4 letters......Do you know I have to spell my last night every single time I tell someone. 

I am pmsing can anyone tell. lol

Oh I have this same complaint all the time.  It really pisses me off in emails.  Look in the "to" line - my name is spelled out right there in my email address.  Why on earth would you write Melissa or Marsha?

people get my last name wrong. not sure how, but it ends up as Rose. yeah, not the same at all. I was glad to get rid of my difficult maiden name and take on my new married name until I realized people are just retarded.

Hardly anyone knows how to pronounce my full name(Linnea)  - but I don't really blame them and I'm used to it.  

I've given my son a difficult name though too, poor guy.  Someone yesterday thought I said "Katelyn" instead if Caedmon.

Granted my first name is unusual, but I've gotten some weird variations as well.  Some are close: Marissa, Marsha, etc.  Some are not: Rachel, HORATIO (I'm not kidding).

thats the WORST! I always get Patty or Tammy instead of Pammy.. annoying! Then my maiden was Thomson and having to tell people all the time THOMSON NO "P" now my married last name.. yeah.. people can't pronounce or spell it. i give up lol

sometimes i get "steph" which i kind of understand... but this is a weird one.. and it's happened more than 5 times.

"it's a great day here at ____, this is beth."

"oh hi, sarah. can i have patty?"

um, sure?

the weird part is my first name IS sarah.

People always get my name confused with Jo or Joanne instead of Jill or Jillian. My maiden name Pitcher has been and still is butchered beyond belief. I dont understand it. Now with my married name, I just automaticly start spelling it because people try turning it into one of the hardest names to pronounce ever. ITS TWO FREAKING WORDS PUT TOGETHER!!! So now when I sign my name, there is a distinct seperation between Scar and gill.
