I want to plan a trip to Napa for the fall (October probably). I just started researching and I'm shocked at how expensive hotels are. Anyone have any goods hotel recs? I think I'd like to stay in Yountville but it's not a necessity. I'd prefer to keep the hotel at or below $300/night if possible. These places are gorgeous but seriously...$650/night??? I looked at some B&B's that were a good price but they're all booked!
Re: Napa trip
It's ridiculously expensive! we stayed in San Fran and did Napa for the day. Not sure if that is an option for you, but staying in Napa was not an option for us because of the $$$$.
You could meet Becky!! Jealous!
Here is a hotel we stayed at one time. It's not in Yountville, but if you are willing to drive a little ways this is a GREAT place.

Art and I thought it was super nice! I would stay there again. Let me know if you are for sure coming. I will try to come meet you and have a glass of wine with you.
Awesome! It looks like it's not that far away from the wineries...the price is definitely right
I'll let you know if we end up being able to swing the trip. I'd love to meet you!
Look in American Canyon. There are a lot of nice hotels along there. Eric & Krystal stayed there too. I think there is a Marriot etc. American Canyon is right outside Napa, so the prices are better.
Oh I love Napa in October, you might be able to see the harvesting of the grapes! We stayed at the Holiday Inn in American Canyon for $70 a night - it was way cheaper - and only 15 minutes away from Yountville. It's a brand new spanking hotel, totally nice. I rather spend my money on wine and food anyways, the bed and breakfast places are for the "older" folks if you ask me - people on their silver/golden anniversaries.
There's a rental house in Napa that's cheap, too. I'm asking my wedding photographer about it - I'm waiting on the response from them. I'll let you know what they say.
P.S. I have tons of rec's for lots of places in Napa/Yountville - wineries, restaurants, and more. Just let me know what you want. ;-)
AND ME!!!
You could stay in Napa pretty reasonably in addition to American Canyon. There's a great new Embassy Suites there. Let Becky and I know if you are coming and we can come up and meet you!!
I'm emailing you!!
