Everyone knows it takes forever to get all your images back from the wedding photographer. I got a note from my photographer recently (in a chain of emails dealing with a recommendation I wrote for her) saying she was editing my images and couldn't wait for me to see them in the next few weeks. (About a week or so ago.) I thought that was awesome, since I wasn't expecting them for 8 weeks. But that got me thinking about my photos.
I got an email from her at 8:45 today asking where I got my parasols (for a client referral), and it included this "Also, keep an eye on your email as the rest of your pictures will be up in the gallery very soon."
Since then, I have refreshed the gallery page about every 10-15 minutes to see if they are up. Shameful, I know.
Since yesterday, three new galleries have appeared, with event dates after mine. The wedding that was the week before mine has had a gallery for at least a week now. (I can't see the images, I just see the gallery name and date, and follow her blog enough to put together what events were when.) It's not like I'm upset with her or anything, since I wasn't expecting images for another 3-4 weeks, and she has done nothing wrong.
But OMGIwanttoseethepictureswhyaren'ttheyupyet?!?!?!?!?!?!
/end rant.
Re: Obsessing...
When we had our engagement photos done (same photographer), I met her at a bridal show one Sunday, we did the shoot the next Saturday, and I had all the pics Mon or Tues. She has already given us a "preview"- about 200 or so images in a slideshow, but she's still editing the others, and I think she has started work on the layout for the album. I know it's well worth the wait, and I think it's a perfectly reasonable time frame, I'm just so darn excited to see them, her work is AMAZING!!
I've checked all day and not seen them, and I didn't sleep last night (insomnia, booo!), so I am just going to tell myself to quit being a child and go to sleep lol. I will check in the morning.
I remember that feeling.

I hope they arrive soon. I'm sure you will love them!
Haha, I remember that feeling as well.
I think I may have even checked her website when we were in St. Thomas for the preview pics she put up!
