Newest Oil Leak "solution"

The brillant big wigs have decided that dropping sludge and mud on the pipe might cause it to stop or at least slow it down. Do you think it will work?

The big wigs supposedly have this vast knowledge, so I guess I give them the benefit of the doubt. Although I give a major side-eye for trying to find the cheapest way out of this mess.

When this originally happened they should have taken all of the ideas and figured our which one was easiest and most economical with the highest propensity of working. This one actualyl makes a level of sense to me, but I think it should have been tried first. But I dont' work for halliburton, trans oceania or BP so apparently know nothing.

BEFORE they started drilling, they should have put in an emergency shut off valve of some sort on the well, not the rig, for this very reason. BP is in MAJOR trouble here and they do not need to be worried about pinching pennies and taking their sweet ass time. They need to fix this and fix it 3 weeks ago.

To me it seems like the oil would blow through the mud/cement mixture. I guess we'll find out when and if they do it!

On NPR the BP pres was boo hooing over the $700 million they have already paid out. I'm thinking to myself, didn't your mother ever teach you, that if you do it right the first time....... I have no clue what the pressure is of the oil coming out, it doesn't look like it's that much, but again that's not my forte'. I'm just sick over the loss of life, livelihood, and eco system, these things may NEVER be brought back.

Side Note: it also makes me want to throat punch everyone who works for BP
