Okay, so maybe it's just a good group of kids. Or maybe I'm just awesome. I'm going to just go with the latter and let that get me through the next 11 days of school.
2 years ago, when I didn't teach math full time, 37% of our kids passed the state math test. Last year, when I first taught math all day every day, 49% of them passed the state test. This year, my third year teaching and second year of full-time math duties, 68% of the kids passed. These are kids that HATE math (only 3 kids of 150 (!!) say they enjoy math at all). I'm patting myself on the back and being an AW about it. Sue me.
