How big is your family? Immediate? Extended? Dh's Family?

Well, if I consider DH and I as our own immediate family since we're married now, it's just us two and two furbabies.

My immediate family was 5 with my mom, dad, and 2 sisters, but now I'm married, my older sister is married, and my little sister is soon to be engaged.

As far as my extended family...it's huge. On my mom's side, I have 3 aunts, 3 uncles, 11 cousins, and 13 second cousins. I don't know about farther out than that. On my dad's side I have 1 uncle, 3 aunts, 7 cousins, 2 great uncles, and 2 second cousins. Agian, I don't know about extention past that like all my dad's cousins and kids. It's massive though.

 Dh's family is huge as well. He has 5 aunts and 1 uncle on his mom's side, 14 cousins, and 14 second cousins that I can think of. Then on his dad's side he has 1 uncle and 1 aunt, 5 cousins, and 3 second cousins. Somehow his dad's side isn't so big but his mom's makes up for it. He has tons of great aunts and uncles and extended family. Gatherings for them are usually in the 100s.

Growing up: Dad, Mom and 2 sisters.

Middle sister is married w/2 kids

Younger sister is single

Mom's side: only child but she has a lot of first cousins ( dont know the amount of the top of my head- over 10).  We have plenty of 2nd cousins from all those 1st cousins. 

Dad's side: We hardly ever see his side so I only know very little.  But I have 2 first cousins from my Dad's brother.

DH side:  No clue about his father's side (father is deceased since '83) and mother's side is 3 brothers (2 deceased including my MIL). Lots of 1st and second cousins (no clue how many). Oh and DH has a twin brother who is married- no kids.

I have one sister and DH has one brother.  Our parents are both still married   His brother is married and my sister is getting married in a month.  No grandkids in the family (yet!).

Our extended families are about the same size, but his family is much closer (I've always been a little jealous of that!)  I have 6 cousins on my moms side and 7 on my dad's side.  He has 5 on his dad's side and 4 on his mom's side.

Right now, just me, DH and Milo.

Immediate - I have one sister, mom, dad and stepmom. 

Extended - Here we go.  My mom is 1 of 5, and most of her siblings had kids, so it's huge.  Growing up, Thanksgiving usually involved around 40 or so people, sometimes more if my grandparents' siblings and their families came (grandmother is 1 of 8, grandfather is 1 of 7). My sister also has 2 kids, so we're slowly taking over the state.  Clearly, birth control isn't something that my mom's family really believed in or was very good at...not sure which.  (Kidding)

My dad is Italian (although he only has 1 brother, so go figure), but he's got a million cousins/second cousins/etc.  Going down that route, my stepmom has a son and grandson, and is 1 of 6.  I have no idea how many people are on her side or how many people total on my dad's.

DH's family - He's an only child.  His mom is 1 of 4 and his dad is 1 of 2. There are only 4 grandkids on his dad's side and 8 on his mom's. His family is from the UK, though, so it's just him and his parents over here. I think he felt completely overwhelmed the first time he came to a big family function on my side.

Immediate family- just Dh and me now- little one will join us later this year. We have 2 dogs- who of course are our family even though one is a foster dog

DH's family- 2 parents, 3 siblings. He is the only married one.

My family- 2 parents, 1 sister and her live in boyfriend. I am expecting a proposal anyday!

Our family is small....just the 2 of us with 2 furbabies (so far).  But moving out to our families we grew up with, I come from a med.-size family.  My parents are divorced and remarried - my Mom's side is very small and Dad's side is rather large.  Extended, I would say med-large in side.  As for SO/BF, his family is quite small too!
