DH and I are looking to have a paver patio installed in our backyard. Anyone have any recs on companies they have used? Also, if you wouldn't mind sharing, what was the scope and cost of your project? TIA!
Re: Paver patio recs?
Girrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl, we are having one hell of a time trying to do this right now! (For the full fiasco, read my blog) This project has been in the works for going on 7 weeks now! I cannot get a landscaper to follow through with an estimate or even show up! So now we are having my cousin install it; but, we are looking for a landscaper to prep the area (dig up sod, dig 6 inches and remove exiting pavers in one area) and having a heck of a time doing it!
If I cannot get someone to prep it, my cousin will just do it. Our concern is removing/disposing of the sod, dirt and pavers. Our worst case scenario right now is try to to reuse as much of the dirt and sod we can around our yards (we have a lot of property) and then put the pavers up on craig's list.
We are working with a 500 sq ft area. We are paying my cousin $1,000 to install it (without having to prep the area) and spent $2400 on our materials (minus delivery cost which we got for free). Our total will not exceed $4000 though because I am not willing to pay a landscaper that much (OUR landscaper - who does weekly maintenance - quoted us $920 to prep the area! he's out of his effing mind!).
I've gotten quotes from actual landscapers to do the whole sha-bang ranging from $4500-7000.
If you are looking for some else to do it I would check out Criag's list - you just want to make sure they are a reputable company who is licensed and insured.
