Cloth dinner napkins. Where to buy good quality ones that...

can hold up to repeated washings, and I mean not the really rough, hard fabric type but more absorbent.

Thanks.

Nutmeg, cilantro, sage, mint, thyme... these are a few of my favorite things! Visit The Nest!Visit The Nest! We have four children; one left us too soon.

    I got mine at BB&B.

    Pier1s were horrible.

I have some from Williams-Sonoma that have held up GREAT, but they were shower gifts.  I wouldn't spend that much on my own.

If you don't need them to be formal I had good luck making my own.

  • Ours are from BB&B also.  I would not recommend Target, every napkin and towel I've bought from them is either not absorbent at all, or falls apart in the wash, or both.

  • I buy all our cloth napkins at TJ Maxx, Homegoods or Marshalls.  I've found really good quality ones for cheap there.
  • We got ours at BB&B. They are not falling apart but they have lost their square shape. (I don't think they were pre-shrunk) I don't remember the brand, but there were 12 in the package for $10. I would buy them again for everyday use, but not for formal occasions.

  • When I think about it, all of my linens are hand-me-downs, with a few W-S gifts thrown in. I would check estate sales, yard sales, etc. as these are all old and in solid condition. (And cute!)
  • I like ours from world market.  They are pretty colours, have a slight texture so small stains don't show and they hold up well.  They are soft and on the thicker side.  We also often use tea towels from ikea.

  • I have some plain white ones from target that have held up well.  They were about $10 for 12 and we use them all the time.
