90210 ~ Alright spill it...
Re: 90210 ~ Alright spill it...
I can't tell if I like it or it's really stupid. It doesn't "feel" like the old 90210... must be those new fangled camera cuts.
did they bring back the original theme song? I missed the first few minutes.
It is soo not the old 90210! I remembered how big they made the prom/sex thing and now this one has a guy getting a bj in his car by a girl he is cheating on his gf with! I must be old because I kept feeling like the show was a top 10 song countdown with dialogue on top of it. And, I kept checking out the teachers rather than the students!
On the fence about whether its good or bad, though.
i think.... it made me feel OLD! i was the same age as the original 90210-ers, and could relate. now the kids seem SOO young - and of course the issues are so different than back in good ole 1993!
DH kept coming in and saying "THATS a student??? - I can't tell the difference between the students and the teachers!" so funny - and TRUE.
that grandmother (of the kansas transplants) is a TRIP.
Yea, it made me feel old too.
Has the life a teenager really changed that much??
I too remember the Donna episode with the drinking/sex/prom theme.
I couldn't believe how much sex/drinking was involved in the very first episode. I think its not going to be about teaching kids responsiblity and murals like the first one. Its just going to be about drama. Lots and lots and lots of drama
Well, it's definitely no Brenda and Brandon Walsh days....it seems like teenagers are faced with many other issues these days than we ever were....or maybe I'm just friggin' old now.
I thought the show was pretty bad, sadly, I'll probably watch it again...not sure why though.
How funny Mindy. I would have been out there with my camera taking pics of myself under the sign... But thats just me.
I miss the peach pit of days past!
I love the old 90210, but ladies you have to remember.. it was not all that good either. It was rather cheesy and full of drama. However, it was a different time. The kids were bad but seemed innocent in a way. I think that it made the show easier to relate to. And because were were growing up with them, our memories of it will be better than the reality. I use to love watching Saved by the Bell, but watching it now I can't help but think "wow this is cheesy!" (yet I still watch it, when I can find it, because it makes me feel young again)
This new one is just to over the top. the drinking and sex is too ... "out there". I want morals gosh darn it! Is that too much to ask?
Like Mindy, I am sure that I will not like this new one much but will be compelled to watch it every week.
