Tree help needed - buds, no leaves
I have a pear tree - I would guess about 8 years old This spring the top half of the tree leafed? and looks great, the bottom branches have buds, but no leaves yet. Considering it's almost June I would assume they are dead?
Should I cut them off or leave them and see what happens next year? We live in the midwest so it was a harsh winter.
