We had such an amazing time and we did SO much in 4 days!! We spent the first day in Sedona and went to Montezuma Castle, went hiking and on a jeep tour. It's such a beautiful town surrounded by these huge red rocks- the place has a weird vibe though. There are meditation/yoga/natural healing/psychic places everywhere and the jeep tour guide told us the place has been kind of taken over by new-age hippies. Definitely a beautiful place though! The second day we went to see sunrise over the Grand Canyon, which was seriously one of the most amazing things I've ever seen! The place was empty and we got to sit on this little ledge by ourselves and watch the sunrise- it was so amazing. You cannot even imagine the size of the canyon until you're there. Then we went hiking for about 4 hours, had some lunch at this restaurant on the rim and drove up to Page, AZ (spent 2 hours on this road through a Navajo reservation with NO exits- it was kind of scary, esp when something flew off a truck and hit our rental car and we couldn't even get out because there was so much sand getting thrown around by the wind). In Page we were supposed to go on a river raft tour down the Colorado but it got cancelled because of the wind so we went on a tour of the Glen Canyon Dam and went to see Antelope Slot Canyon- definitely one of the strangest things I've ever seen. There was just this little hole in the ground in the middle of the desert and you go down into these beautiful slot canyons. Then we drove up to Zion National Park in Utah and spent a few hours there doing an easy hike and taking the shuttle tour throughout the park- it was SO pretty up there. The last day we went to Las Vegas for the morning and just walked around and played a few slots at the Bellagio and then went down to take a tour of the Hoover Dam. I'm glad we didn't spend more time in Vegas-definitely not our type of place! The Hoover Dam was amazing though. Monday we just had lunch in downtown Phoenix and flew home- there really isn't much to see there. We definitely didn't get to catch up on much sleep this trip but it was SO worth it! I'll try to get some pictures up later- I can't PIP using Safari though so it's kind of a pain!
