Need some T & P please

We have known for a few months that DH's company will be downsizing eventually, and that his division will be completely shut down.  Well yesterday there was a meeting and it was announced that they plan to do so by fourth quarter this year (when they'd been promising end of second quarter 2011 all along...).

I know there is still time for him to find another job, but I am still terrified.  The job market sucks right now, and my income alone cannot support us.  He has applied for two other jobs, and hasn't had any luck.  

If anyone hears of any openings please let me know.  He has a background in insurance (workers comp and auto), and has experience in clerical, claims, and customer service.

Please keep us in your T & P that DH will find a new job.  Thanks ladies.

Oh sweetie! I'm so sorry to hear this. We are somewhat in the same boat, so I can understand how scared you must be right now. I'll be sending "new job" prayers in your direction in hopes that he finds something before the downsizing.

That stinks!  It seems like things are getting a bit better, the hubs has been on more interviews and been getting more calls lately.  I hope he finds something sooner rather than later!

Ugh, I'm sorry you have to go through this. I know it's not easy but at least you get to prepare yourselves.... ie:DH gets to look for another job.

I love my job in Feb. 09 and didn't know ahead of time and I was TERRIFIED!!!

But it was the best thing to happen to me and I'm way better off now.

Trust me....it'll work out. I know that's hard to see right now and I'd be freaking out if I was in your shoes too.
