I've heard that new SATC movie is REALLY bad but that's not deterring my excitement at all.
I'm excited to go on vacation, mainly because I have a new bikini and one of those big, floppy sun hats that are all the rage right now.
I can't stop picking at my skin, which I know is really bad.
My H is really, really stressed right and I'm kind of worried about him. I'm glad we're taking a little break, I hope it helps.
We had tickets to the U2 concert in June and I'm glad it got pushed off. I dunno, I know U2 is a great band and all, but I can't get over the fact that Bono wears sunglasses ALL THE TIME. Plus think of the carbon emissions!

I don't like doing the collections part of my job because people often yell at me. I'm not cut out for that.
I over cooked my cinnamon rolls last night and I'm bummed because, while they taste good, they are not gooey and soft. And people at work keep telling me they're really good but I think they're lying.
Marshy, I psomise this isn't directed specifically toward you, but I really CAN'T STAND sports team haters. I get if you like your own team, but why do people go out of their way to HATE on other people's teams? Why the negativity? Why not spend your time liking your own team and leave it at that? I don't get why people have to put so much hate out in the world, and I don't get why people can't just let people enjoy the things they enjoy without trying to ruin it for other people.
I blocked several people on fb last night because of this, and I get on my students' case about it frequently. If that kid likes the Dodgers, he likes the Dodgers. Why hate about it? Let him like the MF-ing Dodgers. I'm no Yankees fan, but my student who is a Yankees fan has every right to like them, and I don't come in to class if the Angels beat the Yankees and get in his face and laugh at him about it and try to embarrass him about it. What's the point of that? I think it's rude and spiteful and it seriously pisses me off.
I grew up in southern California. This is LA-area, we like LA-area teams. Don't choose to move here and then get in my face about hating the home team of the place YOU CHOSE TO MOVE TO. It's fine if you don't like the team, but MY GOD, this is our home team, so STFU about hating them. WE GET IT. Why do people WANT to be associated with HATING like this?
And saying "your team sucks" when the team is in the finals or the playoffs or the World Series. Um, no. They don't suck if they are in the championships. You may not like them, but they don't SUCK. They are obviously a skilled team.
I'm just sick to death of haters and their effing negativity. Be happy when your team wins, be sad when your team loses, but why put other people down for the things that they like? Or taunt people and act rude about it? Or come here and talk crap about the home team? I really, really don't get it.

Mine is more of a jovial hate. I do not actually HATE the Lakers. Of course they're a solid sports team and I respect them. It's more poking fun at the people who are SOOOOO into it, because of all the sports teams fans I've encountered, Lakers fans are the most smug. So I gotta get my digs in. And my digs are mainly for my H's benefit, who has a giant man crush on Kobe.
I guarantee if you moved out of state you'd still root for your teams. It's just natural.
This is true. There's no way I can say, "The Lakers suck!" because, well, they don't. But I don't want them to win because they're EXPECTED to win. I'm an underdog rooter.
But I agree there's no reason to be nasty about it.
- I never want to buy/sell a house again. This has become such a joke - we're on our 7th closing date now because of an error with the loan company (they had the wrong case # on our appraisal) and they'd like us to pay for another one which can't be done until sometime next week. I have however enjoyed watching our realtor lose her sh!t over this with them.
- We have a tenative wedding date set... but I can't bring myself to entertain the idea of hiring a photographer and what not again. We're going super casual and just inviting everyone over for a BBQ/party at the new house and springing it on them when our best friend stands up and starts marrying us.
- We have no idea if we're keeping our foster puppy or not because no one at the rescue will get back to us about her. She was exposed to parvo (our other foster puppy died from it on 4/30 & my eldest lost his battle to complications on Mother's Day).
- I have an unhealthy addiction to McDonald's new mocha frappes.

Random thought: I hate my TKB instructor with the fire of a thousand suns (not really) and am pissed because it's the only 4:30 TKB class. She forgets the routines and half asses it all the time. She took over for the previous girl who rocked! BOOOOOOO!
If I am verbally attacked at work on more time, I just might snap. I'm getting to the breaking point and keep telling myself it's worth it in the long run not to quit because there are sucky aspects to every job.
The ex's wife wrote a blog post about me and like a moron I read it. It was incredibly biased and unflattering. Silver lining- I've become remarkably ambivalent about my ex and the entire cheating/marrying his mistress thing. 2 years ago I would have freaked out so much, now this is the only time I've even mentioned it. Progress looks good on me.

I have been eating well recently and it's actually showing, but I drank too much wine last night and want McDonalds SO bad right now. I can't stop thinking about cheeseburgers & regular coke.
I have been totally half-assing it at work recently. I'm at about 85% of my goal right now and am pretty sure I am going to get there, meanwhile the rest of my department sits at around 30%. This is going to catch up with me sooner or later.
I am about to pull the trigger on a bunch of stuff I don't need at the Nordstom Half Yearly.
I am thinking about french fries now. Mmmmmm...
I had a horrible morning, and I'm still feeling the effects.
I agree w/ Rach...our TKB instructor is terrible. She literally offends me in every way. And I just realized that another thing that happened this sucky morning is that I FORGOT TO BRING MY GYM CLOTHES. OMG, this day could hardly get worse.
My job situation is so depressing that I start to cry every time I think about it.

ETA - I got on the scale today and saw I lost another pound! Which puts me at 15 lbs total now! Yay! But I'm so stressed and depressed that I ate a Rubios bean and cheese burrito for lunch. Boo.
- H totally forgot about our anniversary on Monday. I didn't even get a card
but then again it did slip my mind until about a week before so I can't be too mad.
- I am totally excited about Eclipse coming out in a month (im a dork) even though I know it's going to be just as cheesy as the other two. I already bought my ticket.
- I'm totally over painting the inside of my house and want to hire someone to do it but I am cheap and will suffer through another weekend of painting.
Ohhh I have been wanting to try those!
- I drove around in a neighborhood that I would like to live in today to see if there were any houses for sale. We are NOT buying a house anytime soon.
- I joined a mom's group but have only gone to one meet up because the one that I went to was reeeeaaaallllyyy awkward! I want to think it was the other ladies, but it was probably me. :-/
- I have already started compiling a birthday list and my birthday isnt until June 16th. lol

You should try sticking with the mom's group. Some of my sister's BFFs are women she met in her local mom's group.
Thats what everybody keeps saying...that they and their children have formed lifelong friends in mom's groups. Ehhh..we'll see.

At my work we celebrate birthdays with free lunch and cake (or dessert). I don't know what I want. What would you pick? Somewhere sorta cheap. Doesn't have to be fast food, but can't be like Morton's steakhouse.
2 years ago I chose BJ's and had a pizookie platter. I don't remember what we did last year.
I would order in Rubios's....but I am kind of obsessed with Rubios tight now. LOL

Me - I'm really struggling with not drinking anymore. And then I realize it's only been 2.5 days since I haven't had a drink, which makes me think I might have had a slight problem.

I am having a really bad day.
My toaster oven caught on fire this morning. Luckily I noticed while the flames were still tame & put it out quickly, but it still freaked me out.
As a result of said fire, I was late this morning. Usually I don't stress about it on Weds. because the clockwatcher chief is at a meeting every Wed. Of course, this was the one Wed. where it was cancelled. I had to creep in to my office praying that she wouldn't notice.
Once I got in, I got called to go over to court asap, which meant no time for coffee. I am a total b!tchcake w/o coffee; everyone in court knows it. My b!tchcake quotient was upped when the attorney I had to deal with was some private hack who knows nothing about juvenile criminal stuff. He also had the most annoying tone of voice and mannerisms. I wanted to claw his eyes out.
Then one of our guy friends crashed our usual Wed. ladies lunch. He's cool and we don't mind him joining us BUT he brought along another female coworker that he knows we don't care for. She's the ultimate b!tchcake. I only go out to lunch once a week and I hate it when it gets ruined.
And the icing on the cake is that one of my drug court kids who has been MIA for months just got filed on in adult court for attempted robbery w/ a firearm. I am anticipating someone going over my file and handling of his juvie case w/ a fine tooth comb, which never results in any good.
I am so overwhelmed with files to look at that I can't focus on anything. I just want to go home.
SL - I completely understand re the work files. Sorry work is such a big bitchcake for you.
