I've been on Seasonique for 4 months. First month on it I gained 15 pounds, yikes! I believe it increased my appetite and I didn't realize it soon enough. But the reason I'm switching is because during my first pack I had continuous cramping for the last 5 weeks, a period for the last 4 weeks, and now that I'm on my second pack I began cramping the beginning of week 4 and spotting to a light bleed. At this point my doctor thinks it's time to switch. Other side effects I had are the tender breasts, this has gotten a little better over time, headaches, and problems sleeping. For some people it works great, I have two close friends on it who love it. I'm pretty sad it didn't work for me.
With the Depo I heard the same things about difficulty getting pregnant. My SIL was on it for years and didn't get pregnant until a year and a half after stopping it. Since my DH and I are planning to ttc starting next Spring I'm really nervous about using it. I decided against choosing the Depo. I think that will be my last resort if nothing else works.
Re: **ladybugg**
Thanks for the info. I just started but I noticed that my period is already longer, just started my 3rd week of being on my period. Hopefully I wont gain any weight, since I am trying to lose the rest of my baby weight.
Good luck with which ever one you choose.
