Ok, I'm closing at the end of June, so when should I start packing and how do I pack? lol I've never "moved" before. I mean I moved into this house when I got married, so I only had a few things when I lived with the 'rents, otherwise everything else was brand new (ex. furniture, appliances etc.). We're only in a 2 bedroom townhouse, so we don't have a ton of stuff, but we do have enough that we'll hire movers to move the big things. But, what about all these little things? Can I just chuck them in a box? lol How do I organize? I don't know where to start. =(
Re: Stupid questions...
The drawer thing musiscout mentioned is big. We did something similar, we took the drawers out and wrapped them in stretch/plastic wrap from Staples and absolutely nothing moved in them. I wrapped anything I could in that plastic wrap, lol, it was the best investment. I had endtables that I didn't even empty, just plastic wrapped them shut so the drawers didn't slide open.
Other than that, just make sure that you pack everything by the room and clearly mark the box where it goes. I wrote it on the top and 2 sides of every box.
The plastic wrap looked like this with the handle, and you can find it by the shipping supplies:
Thanks for the ideas ladies! I like the plastic wrap idea...I'll definitely use it.
LOL Cyndi...whatever works for ya!
