Anyone ever flown Delta?

I have to leave for CA sometime this week and am going to fly out, but it seems the only airline available at a reasonable rate is Delta.

So, is Delta a good airline?

I don't care about comfort due to it being a 45 min flight, but I am concerned about the flights being on time etc...

TIA.

Re: Anyone ever flown Delta?

  • I've never had a problem with Delta, especially if you get one of the good planes with the TV's in the head rests :-).  Pretty much always on time. HTH
  • I've never had a problem with them, have fun!

  • I flew Delta to Atlanta for work and loved it! The tv's in the headrest were awesome, the plane was really nice- everything was nice.  I'm so used to flying SW and USAir to CA all of the time, it was nice to be a little spoiled for once.  But, I usually find them to be more expensive, so if they're cheaper- then go for it!

  • I've never had a bad experience with Delta. If they're cheaper than SW you should quickly book it now before the price changes.

I have flown them several times and they seem to have no problems.  The only time I have had issues with them was on a Pocatello flight where my luggage was lost but I blame Pocatello airport not Delta for it.

  • I had an issue with the Delta staff in DTW- but that was probably Northwest Airlines peeps in a new uniform.  For such a short flight- who cares!

  • My stepsister's and stepbrother's dad (so, my stepmom's ex) is a pilot for Delta.  And it's based out of Atlanta, which is where my dad used to live when I was a kid.  So, we flew Delta all the time to go see him.  Always a good experience.  I also got to fly free using my step-sibling's dad's pilot hook-ups.  He SO graciously gave me a free friends and family ticket when I was moving to Orlando to work for Disney World.  Also a great experience!

If Southwest wasn't so cheap, I would likely fly Delta more.
