Cartman 3 - Mice 0

My wonderful cat, Cartman, is more effective than mouse traps.  Since Sunday he has presented us 3 dead mice.  There are none in the traps.

We think he finds and kills them in the basement and brings them up to the kitchen to present them to us.  He is so proud of his work.

We think that the mice came in when the electrician was working down there with the door open and open conduits to the outside.

  • He does look rather satisfied with himself.

  • Yep-He's definitely proud of himself!  Showing you he can earn his keep!

    Go Cartman!

  • Yes Good job cartman!
  •  Gold Star for Cartman!!!!

I hope he got some extra whiska's in hims bowl. He deserves it!

  • Oh Ick...I just called the vet to find out what the risks are to Cartman if he is catching mice.

Apparently he is at risk for tapeworms.  We can proactively treat him now, but the vet said that since we aren't sure the mice are gone from the house, that if we treat too early, we'll have to treat again b/c he can catch new worms from a new mouse.

Ick.  I am now on the lookout for rice-like particles in the poop, on his butt, and in his bed.

  • I'm envious that you have a cat that actually KILLS the mice!  Ours brings them in the house alive and plays with them and then we have to save them and return them outside.

    Way to go Cartman!
