I guess it was to be expected, but I'm still not happy about it. Lee will have a thoroughliy mediocre career for a couple of years, and then he will fade into obscurity. Crystal will hopefully have a fabulous career and make many wonderful CD's that I will buy and listen to for many years to come!
Also, how absolutely crappy was the show last night?! Was it "Easy Listening" Night on Idol? Hall and Oates? Chicago? I was begging for DH to fast forward through all that, but no, he had to listen to every bad, boring note. I did love Janet Jacksons outfit though. She has one heck of a booty!

Janet was obviously lip-syncing. That should be banned on Idol (along with auto-tune, btw). I was surprised Bret Michaels was there and he looked & sounded great, especially after a brain hemorrhage and a stroke in the past few weeks. I didn't have a problem with all the "old" acts, as I prefer them on stage to whatever the tweenies are listening to.
I'm looking forward to Simon's X-Factor and the lack of age restrictions. I have hopes that it'll draw a more diverse crowd and not try to cater to the tweens so much.
Oh, I forgot Brett Michaels! Yeah, he did a great job last night. Also, I loved how they changed the lyrics when Crystal sang "You Oughta Know". That song is not exactly safe for primetime
