So yesterday, I'm feeling tired, but also haven't been sleeping, so I didn't think much of it. Then wham! All of a sudden one side of my nose is running and an hour later I've got a killer headache. I took some sudafed and aleve- no dice. I finally had to take my prescription migraine meds to go to bed, then tossed and turned all night with coughing and a stopped up nose on one side.
I woke up with a killer sore throat (hello drainage) and yellow snot when I blow my nose (again, only one side).
WTF? I cannot be sick right now! I took more sudafed and some antihistamines- any other recs?
Re: Suddenly sick? WWYD?
Its the right time of year for a sinus infection . . . and with your symptoms its possible that you could have one. Drink plenty of water - and I take mucinex too . . . but usually after a day or two of it I usually go to my allergist and get a z-pac b/c those sinus infections will put me out of commission for awhile if I don't.
Ditto. Mucinex DM with buckets of water will clear it out.
definitely add a nasal saline flush also (neti pot). It's amazing how much it will help and you can get one from walgreens for like $15.
I second the mucinex DM also, that stuff is awesome!
It may have never gone fully away! I have terrible allergies - and one year I got it 6 times =0. It was before I switched doctors, so they hadn't given me the z-pac to knock it out. I was miserable and constantly walking around in a fog.
