My best friend's husband had a heart attack early this morning. He now seems to be doing ok. Around 4:00 AM they put a stent into the blocked artery and he's currently intubated and sedated. They live in Virginia Beach. She's with her son and I am sure there are a bunch of people willing/able to help her out.
I hate being so far away and feeling useless. It is also a huge reminder how everything can change in the blink of an eye. He seemed fine yesterday.
I have already sent her a text and FB message to let her know we are thinking about them and that if she wants me there I will be.
Now I am wondering whether to send flowers or a fruit basket.
Not sure why, but I needed to post this.

Re: A bit freaked out
I hope he will be ok!
Sending a flower or some type of gift basket would be very nice. I would suggest sending some type of shrub if you send flowers - that way they can keep it! When I was hurt my company sent me a shrub and it is still living.
Aw, I'm so sorry! I hope for a quick recovery!
Sending a basket for fruits or flowers would be very sweet of you!
)
I'll keep this in my prayers!
Wow that is scary. I can't imagine what your friend is going through! It is nice of you to show that you are thinking of them. I think flowers would be appropriate, it's more sentimental IMO.
Hope he recovers soon...
