XP: know anything about del rio?
a good friend of mine just got a kick @ss job in del rio (i know its hard to think that's possible but its a dream gov job for her). anyway, she moves there later this month and has never been - has no idea what part of town is best, etc.
any insight on where she should live or shouldn't live? she finally contacted a real estate agent today to help her find a rental so hopefully that will help.

Ok, I'm a big nerd.
I just had to stop in for team Aggies!!! Granted everyone may kill us if we continue to play the way to season opener went, but I will still watch and support them.
I've spent a fair bit of time working in Del Rio, but not living there (it's part of my region, so I usually stay in a hotel when I'm there).
Del Rio is really small. It has a really neat downtown area though - kind of small town old west. I can't really comment on specific areas to live - there are some new developments and the area near the base is nice. Personally I'd prefer to live in the downtown area, because it's a little more interesting and near the river.
It's an interesting place....
