A few of us are going to be in the Seattle area next month (Eclair/Beth, Tara, Kris, and myself). Anyone up for a 4:00-ish happy hour on Friday the 25th? Any local suggestions?
Re: Seattle Area Nesties
aaaahhh!
I'll be in the bay area that day. Does any other day that weekend work? sigh. boo for me. you'll have a great time though!
as for suggestions...i'm not the best person to ask but hrm, i would choose someplace outside, preferably with a water view - should be nice out by then!
boo hoo, ditto for me (except the bay area part). There is no way I could get up to the city on a Friday afternoon. Even if I took a 1/2 day... the traffic on Fridays can make my 1 hour drive 3+ hours.
Maybe breakfast on Saturday? With mimosas, if course (well....not for everyone
)! I adore Cafe Campagne by Pike Place and would take any reason to have breakfast/brunch there.

me too - i'm definitely in if we do Saturday morning!! and cafe campagne is always yum. (so is steelhead diner, right nearby, for more "seattle-y" fare. local greens, seafood, etc.)
That totally works for me Amy, since we have the same schedule LOL!
I am glad some other ladies can make it! Hopefully more will be able to...hint hint Surfinbride!
Ohhhhh BOO HOO!! So sad I will be missing you guys. Breakfast sounds like a great idea! Wish I was going to be there.
Robbi, keep an eye out of that traffic on the weekends till noon in the Tacoma area. We made the mistake a few weekends back on a Sat night. What should have been a 25 min drive home from Tacoma turned to 2.5 hours. YUCK.

yes definitely! I'm looking forward to finally meeting you - and Libby!
I would be a maybe for brunch on Sat. I'm on the home stretch for my green card and the closer I get, the more suspicious the border patrol is of me. I almost got turned away last time!
I hope you'll keep us all updated and I can let you guys know for sure. It sounds like it'll be a lot of fun!
