For those having trouble with homemade dishwasher detergent
I recommend playing around with the amount you're using. My first load came out very clean, but with a ton of residue. I used less the next time and my dishes came out still clean, but without residue.
I'm using 1c washing soda, 1c borax, 1 c baking soda, with the rinse aid compartment full of white vinegar, plus a heavy splash in the bottom of the basin.
Re: For those having trouble with homemade dishwasher detergent
Cool! Great advice. Thanks.
I have been slowly turning Mom onto making her own dish washing detergent and even though she used vinegar in the rinsing agent compartment, it was still cloudy. I will let her know.
They see us rollin'...they be hatin'.
I started out with a heaping tablespoon; there are 3 lines in the compartment, this filled up to the second line about. Now I'm using about 1/2 that.
