Where do you go for a little weekend vacation?
I live downtown so I don't want to go to stay in a hotel here. I'm just looking for fun/cute suggestions of places to stay within a few hours of Chicago for myself and my husband.

We're headed to a little resort town in Indiana, next to the Dunes, called Beverly Shores this afternoon. The houses are down the block from the beach and the house we're staying at has an awesome hot tub that I live in. There are a lot of attractions but we tend to just hang out at the house & beach.
We also go to St Louis a couple times a year with our friends, my best friend's sister lives there so we go visit for a weekend.. or go for Mardi Gras and stay at her husband's boss' loft downtown.
We're also headed to Wolf River this summer for camping & tubing. It'll be the first time we're checking it out but I've heard good things from friends who have been there before.
