I ran into Marc yesterday while walking to the store and he gave me a yellow raspberry plant he had in the back of his truck. I'm so excited! I looked all over for yellow raspberries this spring. I planted it last night. I hope it spreads like crazy.

  • Sweet!! That was really nice of him. Where did he get it? I'd love to plant raspberries, but I have no idea how to do it.

  • He said a client gave it to him.

Raspberries are easy. You just need to be able to contain them because they spread and they need to be pruned.

They are one of the best things to grow because they are so expensive at the store.

  • Do you have pics of your raspberries? How do you contain them? Do you know how much a bush usually costs?

  • The only containing I've done so far is pulling up the shoots of plants that are outside the bed I have them in.

Bushes are fairly in expensive. They were $7 at Lowes last weekend. I bought bare roots through the internet. I don't think I paid more than $15 for 3 bare roots and I had a coupon for $25 off a $50 purchase which means they were even cheaper.
