Yep. It's happening. We leave town next week. What have I discovered on my plants? Veggies are forming. I have three tomatoes on my Early Girl, Jalepenos are forming, the grape tomato plants have several green tomatoes, and the okra plants are forming buds. Oh and the everbearing strawberries are putting out blooms for the second harvest.
I won't get to enjoy any of it. By the time it's ripe, I'll be on a beach. Guess my neighbor will get to enjoy my first harvest! I promised a co-worker some tomatoes, so I'm hoping the Early Girl tomatoes will be big enough for me to bring to work on Wednesday.
At least I did get to eat my romaine lettuce!
