Can't Nest using Motorola Droid??

Another Nestie and I have the Motorola Droid and neither of us seem to be able to reply to posts on the Nest. Does anyone else have this issue?

It just won't let us type in the message box. We can type in the Subject box or the Search box. If you start in the Subject and hit Next it goes to the Search, skipping over Message.

I would be forever indebted to anyone who could figure this out for me!!

 TIA!

When you hit reply there is a blue HTML link that pops up on the far top right of the toolbar.  Click on it and it will open a box for you to type in.  Once finished typing click on "update" at the bottom of the box.  Your text will show up in the reply box.  After that just hit POST.

  • Ok AWESOME!

Though let me add a bit of a info/modification to your instructions in case anyone else has this issue.

I can see the update button BEFORE I type anything both in horizontal and vertical viewing mode... *BUT* if I am holding the phone HORIZONTALLY the whole time (which is how I usually view and type due to bigger on screen keyboard as well as the only way you can do physical keyboard) then as soon as I type in it the Update and Cancel buttons disappear. This occurs regardless of whether I use the screen keyboard or physical keyboard.

The KEY is that your phone must be turned vertically/upright in the beginning for you to be able to Update and therefore post.

1 Click the HTML link at the reply screen in the *vertical/upright* position. You should see the Update button at the bottom.

2 Turn the screen horizontally now if desired and click the box to begin typing. When you are finished typing and ready to post...

3a IF using the on-screen keyboard click the phone's back button/arrow on the bottom left of the phone (to get rid of the on screen keyboard). Then simply scroll down and click Update in the bottom left corner. Then click Post.

3b IF using the physical keyboard simply scroll down and click Update in the bottom left corner. Then click Post.

**Do not at any time hit the X button you see or it will get rid of all you typed**

If you accidentally start out in horizontal mode and can't find the update button simply go back to vertical mode where you see it and then return to horizontal. The Update button will reappear at the bottom left (some scrolling in the white box may be necessary to find it).
